International School of Brindisi welcomed a group of Erasmus+ students from a partner school in Spain for a three-day cultural exchange, hosted across the school's classrooms and through guided visits to the city. The initiative brought Spanish and ISB students together to share lessons, languages, and everyday school life, in a programme designed to foster multiculturalism and meaningful relationships between young people from different countries.
Over the three days, the visiting students joined ISB classes in different subjects, working side by side with their Italian peers and experiencing first-hand the international, multilingual environment of the school. The exchange culminated in a guided tour of Brindisi's historic landmarks — including the Castello Aragonese, the Monumento al Marinaio d'Italia, the Colonne Romane, the Cathedral, and the Faldetta Archaeological Museum — accompanied by ISB educators Richard Martínez, Micaela Zammillo and Davide La Fauci. Students documented the visit through a written travel diary, reflecting on the monuments, the city, and the people they met.
Hosting Erasmus+ exchanges is part of ISB's wider commitment to opening its classrooms to the world. By welcoming students from partner schools across Europe, ISB strengthens the international identity of its community, gives its own students the opportunity to build friendships across cultures, and contributes to the broader European mission of education through mobility and shared experience.
